Session Rates, Insurance, and Additional Info.
Session Rates
We offer a free 20-minute introductory appointment to give you the opportunity to meet, explore the motivating factors of seeking out therapy, and get a feel for if working together would be a good match.
The standard rate for 50-minute sessions is $150.
The standard rate for 75-minute sessions is $225.
Insurance
At this time Enkindle Counseling does not accept insurance, however, we are able to provide an invoice or "superbill" on request for you to submit to your health insurance provider for reimbursement. Many insurance companies reimburse out-of-network providers however, please check with your provider about your specific coverage. Some people choose to use their health savings account or flex spending account which does not require a diagnosis or limit services in any way.
Benefits of Private Pay
There are several benefits of therapy as a private pay client (paying for therapy services directly). Many insurance providers require a diagnosis for treatment and some clients prefer the benefit of privacy that comes with private pay as there are no requirements for diagnosis or reporting to a third party. As a private pay client, you will not have your treatment length, frequency, and format determined by your insurance provider. Ultimately, you have the power of choice in choosing the therapist who is the best fit for the work you hope to do in therapy and are not limited by the list of providers offered through insurance.
Payment
All payments are processed electronically through the Ivy Pay or Simple Practice systems designed exclusively for therapists for secure credit/debit card storage. The initial setup for payment will happen during the intake process.
Cancellation Policy
Standard Session Cancellation Policy:
If you fail to appear for a scheduled appointment or you do not cancel with at least 24-hour notice of your appointment, you will be charged the standard fee for that appointment.
If you fail to appear for the scheduled virtual appointment after 10 minutes without notice of being late this is considered a "no-show". The session is canceled and you will be charged the standard fee for that appointment.
Right to Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
